Sometimes you, as the client, will have a needed project with a slim window before an event. These situations can be very stressful and will either end with a happy ever after, or a totally fail. The best thing you can do is (1) Take a deep breath, it's going to be okay so do freak out, (2) Write down everything will need the project to have - make sure content is spelled checked and have some ideas of the style you are going for, (3) Be prepared to pay extra for your project (rush fees), but make sure you set a deadline that will give enough time for editing the project. We have seen these situations a thousand + times, and each one has worked out well!

If this will be the month to celebrate Labor Day, then we as designers need to stop thinking on this great day! I mean, our minds are truly a piece of work and to understand the way it processes, will take work! But the mind NEVER stops working. So on Labor Day, Designers, try not to pull out the laptop, examine the typography of the napkins, nor hand-sketch the images you see in your mind as the people are talking. No, on Labor Day, allow your mind to rest from designing!
